I really appreciate your Microplanes and I would still like
to endorse them. I would be willing to loan you a sculpture for
your ads or trade you a piece for credit on future Microplane orders.
I use your Microplanes in every phase of the carving process
from cleaning up the chain saw cuts on my starting block to
shaping and smoothing the final curves. I have become so dependent
on them that I would probably give up carving if they were no
longer available.
I use your 8"(medium) and 13"(large) round and square Microplanes for
clearing wood out of tight curves and hard-to-reach places (the 6"
Microplanes are too small for most of my work.)
The blades I use most frequently are your rigid and half round
Microplanes
for hacksaw frames. I use these blades mostly by hand because hacksaw
blades
are too cumbersome for my work...
Ninety percent of my work is done with your rigid and half round blades
cut
in half so I can carve out interior curves. I would really appreciate a
six
inch version of these blades with the teeth cut as close to the ends as
possible and slight lip at the ends to protect my palms...
A furniture maker has also commented that your Microplanes remove wood
almost
too quickly. And a sheet rocker would love to see you produce a blade
that
fits on a Surform block plane. Another friend is going to take your
Microplanes down to the makers of Russell Surfboards. He thinks they
will
really appreciate your tools.
I'm sure that there are a lot of other uses for your Microplanes that I
haven't thought of yet, but whenever I get new comments and feedback,
I'll be
glad to pass them on to you.
Good luck with your advertising campaign. Making a quality product is
often
a lot easier than selling it. I do think a photo of one of my
sculptures
together with your Microplanes would catch people's attention and
demonstrate
what Microplanes can do.
You make a great product, when woodworkers finally discover you, you
won't be
able to keep your Microplanes in stock.
I hope my comments are of some use to you. Please write or call if I
can be
of any help.
Sincerely,
