Serves: 4
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 2 cloves garlic, grated
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon freshly grated black pepper
- 1 teaspoon honey
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary leaves, finely chopped
- 2 pounds steak (your choice of cut)
Instructions
- Secure the Microplane Mason Jar Lid Grater with the Fine blade onto a wide-mouth canning jar. Use this to grate your garlic and nutmeg. Replace the Fine blade with the Ribbon blade to grate the ginger.
- Whisk together soy sauce, olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, and lemon juice in a bowl to form the base of your marinade.
- Use the Mason Jar Lid Grater to grate the garlic cloves and nutmeg directly into the marinade mixture.
- Add grated ginger, black pepper, honey, and chopped rosemary to the mixture and combine well.
- Place the steak in a shallow dish or zip-top bag and pour the marinade over it, ensuring it's well-coated. Let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or overnight.
- Remove the steak from the fridge 30 minutes before cooking to bring it to room temperature. Grill or pan-sear to your desired doneness.
- Let the steak rest for a few minutes before slicing to allow the juices to redistribute.
- Serve the steak with your dad's favorite sides and enjoy.
